I've worked at a couple studios and noticed that many are fully equipped to live in as well. Just wondering if anyone here lives in one or knows of where to find more information on them?

What info are you looking for? It seems that people just run studios and live in them to save money.

This may be illegal based on the building/area's code. I looked into doing something similar at the gym I worked at and the city's codes were against because it was a 100% commercial property (this was Mississauga). So this may depend on the city and the property itself.

Then again, don't see how you can get caught even if it is illegal unless someone reports you to the city.

There is a building at Leslie and lakeshore that is full of loft/studio apartments. The studio, a small kitchen and washroom are on the main floor and the small loft upstairs is just a bedroom. The ones I've seen are really tiny but it's a neat concept. It's right near the wendy's/tim hortons just north. The entrance is off Mosley St.

lol funny you mention that because those were the studios I was working in that caught my eye. I saw postings to rent part time, but I am looking to buy one and possibly moving in.
