I need to rent a sigma 8mm but headshots nor vistek has it. Any other recommendations in the city and surrounding area to try out?

You could try Canada Lens Rentals - Craig is top notch to deal with. He does not have the exact lens you are looking for but he does have the 10,, Sigma and a Canon 8-15mm.

doubt you will find Sigma lenses for rent anywhere, they just do not last in a real world and would not be worth it for a rental, have used over 8 Sigma lenses and never had a good one!

Though I approved this message I disagree. I think Sigma is victim to user error induced by group think far more often than they deserve.

well you could be right, I really have no idea what I am doing!

While I currently own almost all Nikon gear, my Sigma lenses (I've had 8 over the last 12 years) have all been of equivalent performance (though consumer-grade build quality for the most part).

As for renting a "specific" lens, I'm not sure you'll have luck with that specific a request. You might convince one of the big US retailers to rent to you. Maybe B&H has one, but if you need local, I think you've already run through your options... I only know of those three as well (not to say there aren't more, but you're getting very specific)
