Hi all, I like some of the images that I've seen from this lens. Wondering if anyone here has tried it yet, and what their thoughts are?

I got one when henrys had them on sale. They are really fun and cool to use. They do however take some time to get used to. Even harder to use than the double optic. Took couple of shoots with it for my engagement shoot. I shall upload them one they're edited. They function more like tilt shift lens than the typical lensbaby composer.

Here is some cool effect you can accomplish with edge 80

I must say this lens is only designed to shoot still. Subjects that are moving, its really a hit or miss. I missed quite a lot of good opportunities when I had this lens on :?

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I have the Composer as well as a couple of the lenses for it and it is not something I'd use for moving subjects referring to your experience. Out of curiosity, was that shot on FF or crop?

Update: I'm actually getting a kick using this lens. I brought it along for a wedding and got amazing results! Its does such a good job in separating subject from distraction. The key is to shoot at f/4 instead of f/2.8 that way you have more "space" to work with. Image

That shot looks nice. I'm debating between getting this or the 85L. Obviously not comparing cost, just image output.

I also own 85mm 1.4D and I can say lensbaby is a nice get away from typical bokehlicious image you all see too often. I certainly dont regret getting edge 80. If you have a lensbaby composer this is a must get butif not, its going to cost you $600 which is quite a lot for a "toy" lens.

Maybe I'll get it then as I haven't been using my composer much.
