I really don't see a point to an M mount Fuji - what's can it bring to the table that any of the other mirrorless cameras cannot do with an adopter? Make a MF lens an AF lens?

If you believe the rumors - the followup to the X100 will be announced/shown next week.

Interested to see what will happen to the used price of the X100 then...

M lenses can easily be used on any micro 4/3 or NEX system with an adapter. However, I really don't want to use the "peaking mode" and if I am going to use a M lens, I'd like to use it on a full frame sensor and a camera with a rangefinder mechanism. I like manual focus. Nothing is more accurate and faster then rangefinder focusing (at least I think)

What Fuji can do and be a game changer and beat Leica in their own game is to introduce a full frame digital rangefinder and sell it for around $3500. It would be an instant M9 killer. Fuji sensor technology is feared by Canon :-)

Not sure that Leica would mind if it sells them more lenses...just looked at the M lens prices!

But who else besides Leica is crazy enough to build a new camera body that doesn't AF?

No AF is part of the joy of rangefinder photography :-) Rangefinder focusing is fast and accurate. If you can see it, you can shoot it. And because there is no mirror you can shoot 1/8 to 1/4 of a second with steady hands. Can you do that with a (D)SLR? Nope :-)

Try to shoot with a rangefinder and you'll never go back to (D)SLR.

If you've ever used the Fuji X100 .... manual focus is annoying, and the AF is slow and in lower light hunts like a SOB.

I was looking for one, until someone told me of the GF2 sale @ Aden.

As much as I love the X100, getting the GF2 was a nobrainer from a money point of view. I mean I love almost everything about the X100, but it isn't 3x the camera as the GF2. And all I need is something small enough to carry with me on a daily basis as I'm tired of lugging around my slr

Leaked / Rumored specs for the X-Pro1 - AKA the LX model, AKA X200.

"The highlight of the offerings is the Fujifilm X-Pro1, which is a highly featured compact system camera. Fuji-filim said it will build on the success of the X100 model, by adding a camera that features a custom-developed 16-megapixel APS-CMOS sensor incorporating a new filter array and the company's proprietary EXR processor technology.

The camera also includes a second-generation hybrid view-finder and takes three prime interchangeable Fuji-non lenses, all with fast apertures.

The lenses include: the 18mm (27mm equivalent) f/2.0, 35mm (53mm equivalent) f/1.4 and 60mm (90mm equivalent) f/2.4."

Its from the Wells Fargo website and future dated Jan 10, 2012...

Yuppers! When I saw APS-C I was like "not interested". And, as good as Fujinon lenses are I really can't afford to buy into another system. It makes sense at a business level because Fuji wants to make money off of their own lenses instead of having Leica, Zeiss and Voigtlander getting the windfall.

I just hope whatever that organic sensor is, that it is full frame and M-mount!!!! Grrrr!!!!!
