I'm in the midst of my first little personal time lapse project. I've spent a little bit of time Googling around and there seem to be a fairly large number of software options out there that I can use to put together all the frames I've shot into an actual video.

Having said that, I know TPMG has members who have done their fair share of time lapse videos. I'm looking for personal suggestions and recommendations for software I can use to assemble my video. Given that this is a little personal project and I'm not sure how much I'll do this in the future, I'd like to stick to either free or inexpensive options. For what it's worth, I'm using a PC.

QuickTime Player is probably the best bet ... that's the most popular app for time lapse video. Anyway, you got to purchase the Pro license because the free version doesn't come with movie making feature.

If you use a Mac then Time Lapse Assembler is a free software.

I sadly have compiled every single one of my time lapse's using overly expensive software.
The rumor mill suggest that Gimp can compile them much like you can in Photoshop - but I've never gone that route.
I've always used after effects, flash or Premiere.

I suggest you try Picasa3 as a tool to explore time lapse photography. It is free and, although I downloaded it as an experiment, it meets all my time lapse requirements and I'm not upgrading it just yet. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll be playing with assembling something over the next couple of days.
