Not free at $100 but seems reasonable. No I don't get any commission

yeah, not bad. only if you get to shoot also. problem is you only get to watch him

Do you really think people will not get anything out of just watching and listening :?:

I can't comment on Scott Kelby's classes since I haven't been to one, but in general I find that I always learn much better when I can actually do something and get direct feedback.
For me, I'd rather spend $100 on a good photography but, but to each their own, of course.

I think it depends on what way you like to learn. Most university lectures are just that but I still managed to pick up more information when I attended then when I slept in.

well, you are comparing it with sleeping in.

i am comparing it with learning online instead since you are doing the same thing (JUST watching)

To each to his own 8)

I'm going, it should be an interesting day to say the least.

Meet-up anyone?

I could have a similar experience watching a music video online, yet I still pay money to go to live concerts... because it isn't the SAME experience.

I'm going as well. I might do a bit of shooting before heading in.

I'll be there as well. I have attended several workshops by his team, and all are very well done. I'm sure we'll learn a ton.

I've been to a cple in the past and I found the same information in his on line tutorials and videos to be much more informative then the classes. I arrived about 5 mins late last year and all the seats were gone, a bunch of us had to sit n the floor, I left at lunch and phoned for my money back.

I actually bought his dvd'd on Light it, Retouch It and they're very well done. I think you would be better to spend your money on the dvds or subscription then the live seminar. The one benefit to the seminar is that they're selling the books and DVDs on site.
