Hi All,

So I am looking for an inexpensive digital camera to do a time lapse video for work - they want to mount a camera up high, and capture an art project in the midst of its build over several weeks.

I have a Nikon P6000 which has this feature, but I would rather not lend my camera for the project with the fear of it getting stolen.

So -- anyone have any suggestions - $150 is the top end of the budget on this.

How about 3rd party firmware for Powershot?

SD850 SD870 SD990 are the 3 point and shoots on canon which can do it....
I owned the first two ..they are fantastic ...but not HD Video though....
