Do you need the high speed sync?

Why not look at Cybersyncs?

High speed synch is huge if you shoot on location/outdoors. These look awesome, I like the remote flash head zoom, mode features, I don't know if even the PW's have that.

The price is a bit too close to PW's to take the chance. I think I'd rather spend the extra $50-70 per receiver.

The phottix odin looks really promising http://www.flickr.com/photos/jun_madaya ... 7004853022
Almost better than pw or that alternative it seems. Cant judge right now, will have to wait till they actually releast it.

Yeah, I agree.. If the cost is $260 for the "pair" meaning 2 receivers and 1 transmitter, then thats pretty good as it will be $410 for a set of three receivers and 1 transmitter. If by "pair" they mean 1 transmitter and 1 receiver. You're looking at $560 for a set of 3 receivers and one transmitter.

While I agree that the phottix transmitter seems to have way, WAY more features than its PW counterpart. I'm not sure if I want to put that much money into triggers from a company such as this. I haven't heard any complaints about Phottix, but still.
