Hello All,
Is it possible to have 3 batteries in the camera at the same time,(with the grip),This is with respective to the Nikon Cameras (D7000) ....lol

If I use a grip, does that mean that I have to remove the battery, which is in the camera at the first place and use the Grip or,I can have the battery in the camera and add two additional battery from the grip as well..and make it have 3 Batteries in total.

Thanks for the Feedback in Advance

Sadly the D7000 grip is not as user friendly as the MB-D80, etc.

The D7000 grip takes ONE camera battery. The other one stays in the camera body itself. So that means to charge the one in the body, you need to remove the grip to get to it. Silly, but oh well.

That means, maximum of 2 batteries, or one battery plus AAs in the grip.

Why would someone carry a grip now.....
Apart from portrait click button,
Instead of carrying the grip I personally would choose to carry an extra battery in the pocket so..if one dies ..use pop the other one in...
I dont get it...why introduce a grip when carry only one battery

well you do have two batteries, just not as easy to swap out.

And the camera is balanced, weight wise with the grip. I cant shoot without one. Sadly, they charge an arm and a leg for these things and then charge again for the extra battery! Grrrrr...

The directional pad and portrait orientation grip is really worth the added size and weight. I went without a grip for a month or so on my D700 and I couldn't stand it. I never felt like I could hold the camera correctly. You have a lot of added stability when your whole hand including the "heel" of your palm, so to speak, has something to rest on.

I would never go back to shooting a DSLR without a grip.
