I'm thinking of getting my first flash (can't borrow my friend's anymore :(). I narrowed down to these flashes. Which one would you suggest?

Although they are roughly at the same price range ($230 for Metz 50; $255 for Sigma 610; $285 for canon 430 from B&H), I want to go for the cheaper one if they all perform about the same. I'm on the budget...so saving $50 is a lot.

ps. Gonna shoot some portrait and macro pics.

do all of them work in ETTL mode? I'd personally stick to Canon if the price difference is not more than $100

I think they are all E-TTL and E-TTL II compatible.

The thing about the canon one is that it's more expensive, has less power (although I highly doubt it makes any difference to me), less functions (ie. no master mode - but again, i doubt i'd need that anytime soon). Hmm...this is so hard!!! :(

what about using YN-560 with either an RF-602 or RF-603? you can get at least 2 flashes for the money.
