I just got an Iphone 4 today and I'm waiting for my plan to be switched over to it .. I was wondering can I use WIFI without having an active sum card in it? if so how ? It doesnt seem to be working then again I'm a noob when it comes to this thing ..

It should work, my old iPhone 3G are being used by my kids at home just connected to WIFI..

On the settings menu, just turn the wifi on..

Jailbreak it with limerain. It'll allow you to using the phone as an ipod touch for now. You can restore the firmware later when you actually are ready to activate your phone.

btw, I just picked up an iphone 4 tonight. I had the same issue, but limerain worked for me.

I'm not going to teach you how to do it, but google is your friend.
