hey everyone, has anyone experienced a case where the quick release plate is jammed in the ballhead in its original resting position? I cannot seem to get it loose?

Any suggestions on what I can do to get the two parts separated?

I managed to pry the thing loose with a screwdriver....ahhh, it was frustrating because it jammed when I needed the tripod too!
