I managed to pick up a Jobo CPE-2 for a great price. Been doing b&w for a liitle over 6 months and have gone film crazy in the last 4 months, so i would like to take control of the whole process. Anyone recommend a local source for c41 chemicals? Henrys sells, but only special order online and shipping those heavy jugs is pricy.

Another Q, is powdered any better/worse then liquids concentrate? Seems cheaper to ship.

Incase anyones interested, i ended ordering from Freestyle in the US. Not many Canadian options.

Bought 3 Unicolor c-41, 1 litre powdered kits. $17 each.
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/10123-Unicolor-Powder-C-41-Film-Negative-Processing-Kit-1-Liter?cat_id=1001

Each kit advertises 8 36exp 35mm rolls but in online reviews most people can get %50 more then stated yields before noticable decline in performance.

How much did you get the CPE-2 for? I love mine.

I get my C-41 from Freestyle and my Kodak E-6 from Vistek (well, for now until they discontinue it)

I got my well used but 100% working Jobo for $200. Would have like to get one of he lift equipped ones, but they seem to go for a small fortune on eBay, not to mention shipping those monsters.

Havn't done c41 yet so I can't really coment on how easy it is. Seems straight forward, very similar to b&w but with more temp control. I was considering doing it by hand before I found the jobo, was going to use the bath tub as my water b
