Details:

What: Lightroom 1st Session
When: May 13th, Thursday
Time: 6:30pm
Where: Front / Spadina (office)
Bring: camera, laptop, many questions
Cost: $10 if we get 10 ppl, or perhaps a little more if we all want coffee and tea on-site

This will be the intro session to Adobe Lightroom that can be a refresher or startup. Topics to go over during the session:

1. What is LR
2. The 5 tabs: Library, Develop, Slideshow, Print, Web
3. Library Tools - sorting, folders, on-screen displays, QuickDevelop, tagging
4. Develop Tools - levels, editing a photo with "Adjustments", Presets
5. Slideshow, Print, Web - Trifecta of "not used as much as..."
6. Introduction to Workflows

if it's a small group (approx 10 people as it seems to be currently)
and we don't want to arrange for cost / booking of a church, I can host people in our office boardroom... (connectivity shouldn't be an issue, big screen to project to etc)

keep it in mind as an option.

and yes there is a screen and connectivity cables...although im a dork at setting up for meetings and get the building maintenance guys to set up for me... (god i love them)

only catch is i need everyone to be in in advance, cuz i need to provide an attendee list for security purposes. cafeteria ($) on site for juice pop etc.

I won't register yet, but the office location would be great as following along on a projector would be nice for people who don't bring laptops.

I'll wait til dates and everything are confirmed and see how it matches my schedule.

hey guys.

I am avaialable for the 13th.... HOWEVER, sticky security is asking questions, and I need to get signed approval for this event... so the board room offer isn't in the bag yet...sorry.

Especially now that it's 15 people....hmmm

They need to know:
start and end time
Whether it's a one time event or whether we are looking at a series
Number of people

As soon as I get your response I will put the request through. thanks

I think max the session will take 2 hours... including some shooting that everyone can do.

its much easier to work with LR than just to watch it.

Well, i don't mind make it a few sessions, but I'm not sure if anyone wants to hear me drone on that long :D

Maybe we can make another session dedicated to other techniques and presets, and workflow, since they can be large topics.

How about 2 sessions, 2 weeks apart.
