Get yours while it lasts....

http://estore.canon.ca/index.asp?estore ... ference=_e

I just ordered an All in One printer from the estore and I am expecting to get a coffee mug with it!

Before you laugh at me for willing to pay over $200 for a printer just to get a mug, I am in the market for a new printer because my old one is dying. I checked the review for the Canon printer and they are highly praised. So what it costs $20 more than Futureshop and I have to pay shipping, I am going to get the mug for sure and for free. They have better not tell me that they ran out of mugs!

I'd really like to grab one of these too. Dunno why, I don't even drink coffee.... still must have, it's a L mug so therefore it's better than all the other mugs right?

More info. It would appear if we're patient these shouldn't be too hard to get.

At Vistek for $30 + taxes and out of stock, I would rather order $200 worth of stuffs on estore and get a free one.

I think the out of stock means not yet in stock, but yeah, if you're looking for something from Canon over $200 that is a good way to get the free mug. If you're not in the market for anything new from Canon over $200...

WOW! I like the novelty of it but it's not THAT important to me if I get one or not. Some folks have other priorities and more disposable income I suppose.

Thanks for the tip. I might pick up a 50mm 1.4 to get the mug too.

Yeah I know.. I personally don't care for the 24-105 anyways, I think the 70-200 is much cooler, too bad it is not the bigger f2.8 size but what the heck, its free.

Well, apparently on the same topic from POTN, vistek doesn't have enough to cover preorders? Where can we get them from now? =/

Looks like Montreal and Halifax are the next stop at Simons Camera (Montreal) and Carsand in Halifax. Other than that, ordering $200 worth of stuff on Canon's estore. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few mom & pop shops eventually getting a few.

Hopefully Vistek can honour earlier sales before they marked it as Sold Out on their site. I was ready to call Simons and put one on hold but found out about Vistek this morning. Hummm.....

Hmmmm,

Is this coming or going. Or did they sell out on pre-order? Canon may find the mugs more popular than the lens itself!

You were able to preorder/pay for them earlier this morning before they closed it off.

I decided to not order $200+ from Canon estore and put an order in with Vistek. I was able to pay by Paypal and got an email confirmation, does that mean my order went through? Order confirm said "backorder 2-4 weeks".

I'd be interested in getting a knock off. Let's compare an original vs a grey market

I confirmed this morning that my order will come with a coffee mug. It has been shipped and will probably be here tomorrow. I am more excited about the mug than my new printer :D :)

The 'People' at vistek said ETA end of month. I hope they are more right than their web.

Well, there you go.... I agree that the novelty will wear out rapidly. I am like... let me put it back into the box. OK next? I am going to setup my printer now. That's gonna be more fun than this.

Oh, it's a stainless steel mug by the looks of those pics. Cool. Thought it was just plastic.

Well, don't expect a premium thermal mug my friend. Remember this meant to be a freebie give-away made in China. It is not even dishwasher safe.

....count me out. Too small.
My caffeine addiction requires a much BIGGER lens mug, perhaps the 100-400 size.

Unless it comes with a lens hood attachment to increase coffee intake!!!

The mug's available for pre-order at The Camera Store:
http://www.thecamerastore.com/canonlensmug

And it's $5 cheaper than Henry's/Vistek.
