My friend knows a supplier, and can get 4xAA eneloops for $15 + tax.. with the charger $25 + tax.

I'm getting a few for myself, so just thought maybe some other people would be interested. Let me know.

Apologize in advance if this is supposed to go in the selling forum.. But I'm not really selling them. Just a group buy thing.

kinda OT here, i got around 10 sets (AAx4) of eneloops/duracell precharged, what kinda charges do people use to charge a lot of batteries at the same time instead charging them one set at a time?

I don't think so. I have some and charge them in an other brand charger, and it seems fine.

How many packs would you like?

BTW: I am available in the downtown core during weekdays and in the Fairview Mall area on weekends.

The charger comes with 4 batteries, so does that mean you want 12 batteries in total?

I will be putting the order in next Tuesday, and can get the batteries by the following day. So please reply to this thread with how many sets you want by end of day Monday if you are interested in a purchase.

LOL well there is no such thing as too many rechargeable batteries.

I think he can only get this price as a bulk purchase, so I won't be able to get you the batteries for the same price if you decide you want some more 2 weeks down the road.

Anyone know if the AAA are 2000 mAh as well?
these are only 1000 mAh
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... CatId=2584

How do the Enerloops compared to others? ...like these...even though they are 2500 mAh
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... CatId=2585

***edit***
found this on the Sanyo site
Quote:
Higher voltage means that Eneloop 2000 mAh batteries will have similar performance to 2500mAh conventional rechargeables.

Quote:
Compatible with Other Battery Chargers
Eneloop batteries are not limited to Eneloop chargers or any special proprietory charging technology and can be charged using other quality non-Eneloop Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery chargers.

normal NiMHs have higher capacity than the eneloops, but unless you plan to have them charged the night before, the eneloops serve as good standbys. I find my 2800mAH batteries fade to almost 50% after 3-4 weeks. But then, don't take my word for it, see this instead:

Op, I hope I'm not threadjacking. But if you're interested in doing a group buy with the eneloop product line, I get these at costs straight from Sanyo.
I've bought several of the 4xAA packs for tpmg/rfd members in the past. My Costs is $8.46/pack+tax for 4xAA, $15.32 for 8 x AA's. I can get the 2 batt chargers in bulk... They cost .60cents each ;)

also, Pc brand rechargeable batteries are rebranded eneloops... They cost $10.99 at your local loblaws superstore.

pm me for more info. Just trying to help the community to save some bucks...

But the PC brand isn't the sexy white I've been looking for...

The only thing is lz7j, you are in missisaiga/milton, no? =p

If the OP, or someone else is interested, they can set-up the group buy through me... that way, I wouldn't have to travel all over the place. This is a busy month for me.

The other thing that I can do is meet everyone at the next tpmg event, you'll be able to get the order then. I was stuck with 3 packs of batteries the last time I offered to buy these for people. So I'd actually prefer for someone else to step-up and collect/buy a bulk order through me.

lz7j, thanks for the offer but I already told my friend I'm going to be getting some from him and I'd feel bad if I back out.

As for the rest of the TPMGers, don't feel obligated to order from me; however, I am still going to be taking orders in case you want the batteries for next week. :)

I will be PMing all the individuals who said they are interested for final confirmation on Monday.

As of right now I have:
J__: 2x4AA, 1xCharger with 4AA
chopper: 1x4AA, 1xCharger with 4AA
rhommel: 2x4AA
mike: 4AA, 4AAA

Maybes:
PotatoEYE: 4AA (I assume)
hotwire: 4AAA

thing is, I'm in no hurry for the batteries, so if someone else is willing to organise the purchase with lz7j, I'm willing to wait, and get almost 50% off.

(sorry wendyshakeyhands)

lz7j, if you are still holding on to those 3 packs of batteries, how about selling one to me?

Unfortunately, I don't drive, so I'd not like to make the trip out though...

If noone is going to organize a purchase with lz7j, then I'd still like to get it through wendyshakeyhands; some discount is better than nothing.
