that looks like the EF-S 15-85 IS lens that was rumoured. Guess it's crop. looks nice but I can't go back from full-frame.

My limited knowledge of Simplified Chinese tells me that it says:
18 megapixels
dual Digic 4
8 fps

As a 5DMKII owner, I feel betrayed.

Not sure how serious that statement was suppose to be but c'mon dude/dudette, it's just the way technology advances. Plus, that kind of attitude is partly why Canon reserves features for the more expensive bodies like the 1D's (a very common complaint).

I'm a 5D2 owner too and I don't care. I just want Canon loosen up their sphincter and give the best camera they can without holding back on features (within reason).

Hmm... it does fulfill my wants and needs of my next camera.
This will really depend on the price. From previous CR2s, the price is rumored to go for about $2700. The 5Dm2 is $3200. With such a small difference, I might as well go for the 5Dm2.

From Canon Rumors...

In USA: $1699 Body
In Canada: $1999 Body

But we'll just see when it comes out... I'm super excited though.

It's now looking strongly like the 7D is an EF-S body, Canon's proper answer to the D300(s) rather than the sub-$2k FF body people were hoping for.

I wonder what the price tag will be? $1500? If it's under $1200. I'll seriously consider getting it but with the new hybrid IS, I wouldn't surprised if it's closer to $2000.

Check out the teaser on the front page of the Henry site. Related to the 7D?

Probably, but it might be the Panasonic GF1 as well, which is also scheduled for announcement on tuesday.

But it's probably the 7D. The specs that have been leaked indicate a potential D300s killer.

Off topic.. but would it be better if I order the 7D from b&h/adorama to take advantage of the strong CDN dollar?

No duty, but Canada Customs will charge GST and possibly a brokerage fee depending on the shipping company.

Won't that make 3rd party lenses be incompatible? Doubt it will happen.. though 1.45x is better than 1.6x.. it's also a CR1 source. Nonetheless, this will probably be my upgrade, no matter the crop. Excited!
