Great shot. I love this one. The blue sign on the yellow wall, would make a photo in it self, but with the woman in the window, totally makes the shot.

Did you have to wait long for the woman to appear?

No, no, no ...no, I didn't wait at all (that would be stalking, no?). I happened to see her as I was walking down the laneway - it's in Rome.
It isn't too uncommon to spot people looking out windows in Rome.

I dunno, even in the Video it looked like Obama was taking a look. He was just a little more subtle about it than the picture implies.

Sarko on the other hand was a whole lot less subtle.

In the video, doesn't look anything like Obama looking. The girl he is offering assistance to starts to block his view and his angle never changes. Its one thing to subtly look, its another to look and let someone walk out of your filed of view ... which subconciously is a challenge.

I helped a friend organize data collected from a project for road distractions 3 years ago for metro police. What was found was once a person fixates on a distraction it is unnatural for the body to not follow what has caught the eye. The study was aimed towards recommending removing signs along certain points of the Gardener.

Notwithstanding the letter of the law (US or Canada), the subject can and should ask for reprint of the image for self use like posting at her home.

Jerusalem (2007) showing unobstrusive security ready to spring into action if some tourists turn out to be not doing sightseeing

They certainly would not to want to be photographed. Gates are everywhere and going to a supermarket requires passing through metal detectors - something that inner city school in the US has been doing for ages

That would have landed me in jail. When in public spaces women in Yemen, much like in Saudi Arabia, are covered from head to toe, except for a tiny slip in front of their eyes. Unlike in Saudi Arabia, Yemeni women are allowed to drive a car but only in traditional clothing - a fact that contributes to the high traffic fatality rate.
Anything so audacious as using scantily clad women would be an affront to Yemeni values ...this would be BOTH immoral and illegal.

Someone tried this in the Great Mosque in Djenne, Mali:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Mosq ... jenn%C3%A9

Because of that, all non-Muslims, are now barred entry. Shame...sadly I didn't hear about the ban until I'd travelled half way to Timbuktu (literally) to find out.
