Hey guys,

Anyone using these ebay flashes, and if so how are they holding up? I've read of some people getting lemons and returning them seems to be a PITA.

I have two and have been using them since summer, and they've been nothing but great. Haven't had a single mis-fire; reliable, powerful, cheap. What else can you ask for?

Thanks for the replies. Any sellers that you recommend. Looks like some sellers are importing these units to north america albeit with quite a markup.

Just found out that theres a v2 available with lcd screen. Is this feature worth the extra 30 or so bucks?

Vistek sells them under the label PhotoFlex but it's the same thing. I have a flash and transmitter set made by them and love them both :-)

I bought mine from ebay (direct from china), awhile ago when i couldn't find it local... died on me 2 months later!

I think like most electronic things that are priced lower, you sacrifice quality control from the manufacturer.
The flash was great when it worked though... and if you're getting it local from somewhere that will take it back, i think it's a great inexpensive flash.

I wouldn't bother spending more for an LCD though, i thought the led power indicator was fine.

Just wanted to give you another perspective.

Good luck!

i agree with AgetupKidDan.. i got used to the LED power indicator quickly. and it's simple. so to me it's not worth the extra $$$.
