Hi Guys,

First of all this isn't a personal project.

At work we are trying to understand how our product works a little bit better. One of the ways for us to do this is find out where all the hot points are when it is under pressure. We were encouraged by someone to get some infrared images to do this. This is where I need help from the wise people of TPMG. I have done a little bit of research into Infrared photography but very minimal. It could be because I'm used to a traditional digital camera, but I can't seem to find a camera that takes still images. Everything I have found so far seems to be surveillance type video cameras.

If any of you have suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Standard infrared camera because they only work in the near infrared don't see far enough into the infrared to be any good for finding hot spots. Unless the hot spot is glowing deep red. Usually you use a thermal imaging camera such as these http://www.x20.org/thermal/
