Almost as good as 5.5 candy pixels.
Wish I still had that wrapper...

Wow, and you can sneak it into any museum or location without being harassed for a permit due to it being cleverly hidden as a toy camera. It must be like a million dollars though. :)

I really don't need any more resolution beyond say about 5.1 terapixels. It just means a bigger SD card.

Sounds like you're just trying to justify having last years 5.1 TP model. You should upgrade! Think about what you are missing! So what about the 30 minute image viewing load times? LOL :D

You can barely crop a 5.1 Terapixel image though...

I wonder how much memory it takes to store a photo of that size.

If one Megapixel is roughly 1MB then 1000 Megapixel would be 1000MB or 1 GB, so it would stand to reason that a 1 Terapixel file would be 1TB so multiply that by 5.5. You would need a 64bit operating system just to be able to see the storage medium. With pictures that size you would need to by CF or SDHC cards in the Petabyte range. I am sure the day will come but not for a while yet...

I heard the new Nikon D800 will have a 5.5 Terapixel FF sensor
