just curious if anyone here has ever taken apart this lens -- I need to fix the aperture in mine. I was able to dissect it down to the mechanism box - but not sure where to go from there.

I think you'll get more help at the large format forum. If all fails, I have a number to a local person who can fix that for you. Haven't tried him yet but he was recommended. I was looking for exit strategies months ago just in case something like this happens before going large format. The cost might not be worth it compared to buying a replacement.

OTOH, there is talk of Copal folding so just a heads up.

Thanks .. I may need to get a contact of someone - so feel free to PM me. Because it looks like I either have to take all of the workings out to get to the back, or it comes apart another way, which I can't see. of course -- the alternative is to just try and find another one on ebay or something.

just to update ... I now have a set of instructions on the complete disassembly of the shutter mechanism. So if I decided to tackle it .... I have info required. Personally ... I think I'd rather do it myself than pay someone - because I am capable of doing it. I will have to do cleaning and lubrication at the same time - so this project will take a couple of weeks.
