Has anyone actually tried them out yet?? I need to purchase some new rechargeable batteries for my flash (a couple of sets I've gotten have had at least one dud in them (different brands) so i'm not impressed so curious how these are for quality? (I use the regular versions for my battery grip and have no complaints there).

So far I've found that they are lasting longer than the previous enloops. I'm not exactly going to switch up all the enloops I have but thus far, in just regular usage, I'm finding them quite good.

So i just did this test... no way scientific.

Had the enloops in my 420ex, and it took 4 - 4.5 secs for a full cycle. with the XX's, they are about 3 - 3.5 secs on full cycle. Its a noticable but with this old hardware, its not the best test.
I'll test it in a 580exII some point this week.

So I went to this small event, for two hours, where it was kinda just event coverage. I bring the 420ex and just have the XXs with me. I figure that's about all i need.

I take about 500 shots, and only used a flash maybe 150 of those. The cells didn't over heat or anything, but they just DIED. Like, I mean, with the enloops, I at least could see there was a longer lag between cycles when they were dying down. These, the lag was like 5 shots, then BOOm, not enough to recycle.

I'm going to do another event and be just as "liberal" with the flash with enloops, and we'll see. From what I remember in the past, I could bank at least 200-250 shots with the enloops. Who knows...

again, not scientific, but my conclusion is that thus far, I don't find them any better than the Enloops.

Thanks for the input. For me my concern is recycle time - I want them to recycle quickly. What were your camera settings when using flash - was that 150 full discharge photos? Thx for the input.

On all my new Eneloops, I ran a discharge on my MAHA-9000 charger and found that they were roughly 70% capacity form the plant - it likely depends on on long ago they came out of the plant as to their MaH capacity then you get them.

Once they are recharged then they should be at 2500 MaH, plus or minus a few percentage points.

ya I was thinking the same as well. But I have to admit, I didn't have to dedicate a break-in period with any of my enloops.

We'll see how they perform the next go

If anyone wants to give em a go, feel free to contact me. I'll loan em out for a few days at a time

I just picked up a set from Canada Computers - luckily they have a store near me so I just drove over and bought them (so even though more $ then Xpress Canada - when you add in the shipping costs I saved a little.)

Hopefully i'll try them out shortly

These have 100 less Mah than the Eneloo XX batteries. I'm not sure where these batteries fit in.

They introduced the Pro and the Plus. The plus still have 1900mah but has some sort of special heat dissipation. The pro has 2400mah.
