Can anyone recommend a good (and affordable) third party cable-release intervalometer for a Nikon D90? Want to get into some time-lapse stuff but the Nikon version of these are way too expensive.

Hello Zee:

I have not used this item so am not recommending it, but I have seen it online. I think it is new at B&H and is half the price of the Nikon version in the US. I have used the Nikon version and it works great. This one looks identical.

You didn't say which camera. This release will work on the D1, D1H, D1X, D2, D3, D3x, D3s, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, D2Xs, D200, D300, D300s, and D700 cameras in the Nikon line up. They also have a version for the D90/D5000.

And you can take advantage of the new shipping rates to Canada at B&H.

It's for a D90. But I'll likely be upgrading my camera this year. Thanks for the link I'll check it out.

Note that current Nikon models above the D90 include a built-in Intervalometer (with the possible exception of the D7000). If you're going to upgrade, you don't need that functionality on the 10-pin remote for the higher-end bodies.
