Yay! Finally adventured into the world of models...I think I did well for my first try!

I was in the Toronto modelling industry meetup Aug 7 which was an opportunity of models meeting photographers. I am just an amateur and I do not even have a business card to give when asked by budding hot models. The images are self explanatory as to who was crowned the top. The spot lighting was very erratic and white balance was off majority of the time when 20 people were firing up their flash the same time

I am sure there must be some tpmgers there. I certainly do not know all of them. But with beer in hand and a camera, it was certainly an enjoyable late night mingling with photogenic subjects all around. Shooting birds is a lot tougher and less rewarding

I was invited to attend but had other plans I could not get out of. Did you stay to the end?

No. There should be a fashion show at the end around 1:30am

I wish I knew where to find a good cup of Yemen coffee in TO.

Sadly I haven't seen any either... Strangely enough Yemen is the first place to cultivate coffee in the world. There is a port on the west coast named Mocha which remains synonymous with coffee today.

The coffee crop has largely been replaced by another stimulant qat/kat/chat.
Here's one of the few farmers still growing coffee walking in his terraced farm.

Coffee originated in Ethiopia (where it crossed the Red Sea to be cultivated in Yemen) and there are a few Ethiopian stores that sell raw coffee, you have to roast and grind it yourself. I just pan fry it and that works. Strong stuff.
