You can go through Adobe's download manager to get the installer:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index ... =photoshop

Or you can download the files directly:

Windows (download both, then run the .exe):
http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/ ... _12_LS1.7z (980 MB)
http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/ ... 12_LS1.exe

Mac OS X
http://trials2.adobe.com/dlm/AdobeProdu ... 12_LS1.dmg (1140 MB)

Dang, was hoping the full versions would be on our Adobe corporate account. Guess I'm going to have to wait a bit longer. I read Premiere CS5 is a memory pig. Thanks for the heads up/url.

I just bought CS4 a few months ago....
I hate the fact that they upgrade their software so often and I'm basically required to have the latest version of their software for school. Sounds like ill be upgrading once they release the student design premium edition.

personally.... I think the rate of upgrade is retarded.... what could have improved so much that we needed a new version so quickly?

There actually seem to be quiet a few improvements that will drastically save us time editing as photographers, but I do agree. I think they should just add these improvements to the current versions of their software rather then making us pay to upgrade. I'm willing to pay every few years for drastic improvements, but upgrading nearly every other year is just silly..

I wish it was that simple.
Last time I had to upgrade from CS3 to CS4 because Adobe didn't support RAW files on snow leopard.
That and due to my area of study at school I need to keep up to date on the newest software.

Not common for major versions to be released every 2-3 years. Software companies, or really anybody including Apple's iPhone, needs to do this in order to make money and survive.

I purchased the student version 2 months ago. They didn't let me get the premium though. So I had to re-purchase the standard version. Then I got an email about 3 weeks ago about the upgrade. Turns out it would cost me the same to upgrade to a full non student version of design CS5 as it would cost me to re-purchase CS5 as a student when I put in my NAPP membership discount. And they had a free shipping offer ontop of that too.

Yes, it does come across as money grabbing, but CS4 was released at the end of 2008, so an 18~20 month update cycle is not that bad. At least Adobe designs backwards comparability automatically into their products. Microsoft with it's office package is the worst. They come out with a new version every 14 months, and change the file format just to force everyone to upgrade as you can't read anyone else's .doc files.

But for those with a mac, CS5 now offers you 64bit applications.

Matt.

So if you were Adobe, you would be willing to pay the salaries of all your software engineers, and then give away the improvements for free? Or would you rather charge $200 per upgrade, with perhaps a million installations moving from CS4 to CS5? I know I would prefer to make money than not make money. ;)

I don't know if anything has been discontinued (I'm only interested in Photoshop and InDesign), but the full list of download links is here:
