Anyone know of a retailer who carries the Interfit Strobies Portrait Kit?

http://www.interfitphotographic.com/Str ... %20kit.php
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/6 ... t_Kit.html

I checked the usual suspects and it seems only Henry's lists it for $250, and apparently only at their Newmarket store for pickup. :( Or, if someone has a recommendation for a similar system (modular, does not require taping/sticking things to the flash, with at least the beauty dish, snoot, grid and barndoor attachments), let me know. I'm looking to buy ASAP.

When you say ASAP, you mean buy locally and can't wait to order/ship online?

This kit is also modular, but they ship from the UK:

"International orders are generally received in under 3 days"

Yeah, I was hoping to have something to play with this weekend or early next week, in preparation for a boudoir marathon next weekend. I figure I'd try out a few new things from a lighting perspective.

Patrick from Merkle put a call into DayMen, who is the Canadian distributor for Interfit. I can get the kit for $50 less than what Henry's is advertising, but I'm still waiting on when they can ship something out.

Go to henrys and say Merkle made me this offer and I want you to beat it. They probably will for $50.

Please give us some reviews once you have time to play with it.

Thanks!

That would have been my plan on Friday, had the order not gone through. But Patrick drove downtown to hand deliver the kit to me today. The Portrait Kit, two SB-900 mounts and one SB-600 mount, including tax, for only a few bucks more than Henry's price for the kit alone. :) So far, I'm quite impressed at how well the snoot coupled with the grids are able to place a non-spilling circle of light right where I want it. I am less impressed, however, by how much light the D700's pop-up commander contributes to the scene. :? I knew there was some, but I'm even seeing it down at ISO 400 f/2.8...
