A company at bay street would like to buy one of my photos for their website's front page
how much should I charge them? It is a mid size company

It all depends on you actually.. Depends on your gear, quality of image, etc etc.. There's no "set price".

I had asked the same question in the past. The person answering simply told me, "Go with a price that you believe the photo is worth. If you think if it is worth $200, then ask $200. And so on." It may not have been the best answer, but at least it is a start.

It also depends upon the ultimate use that the image will be put to, the industry the purchaser is involved, and the type of shot.

Actually.... there are guidelines for artists selling work for various purposes. CARFAC has a rate chart which is quite useful for figuring this out. http://www.carfac.ca/

$200 is definitely a good starting point....
