I have over $250,000 in photography gear.

Some of the equipment I own includes :

Hasselblad H4D-60

Leica M9 Titanium

Leica M9 Hermes Edition

Mamiya Leaf Credo 80

Leica S2

My equipment speaks for itself. I am a real photographer. The photographs I take doesn't matter, it's all about equipment. It impresses other wannabe photographers, gets me in to the press boxes, photographer pits, behind police lines and so on.

Now the question is, with all those gear do you have to pay for those cheap models at VolgaGirl, or hot women take off their shirts so you can capture their 'essence'?

I say that because Kurosawa uses his camera as a means for meeting gullible nice chicks and let them fiddle his equipment while he looks on with a look that is a mixture of contentment and desire...

Nope! I just approach hot women with my cameras and they are willing to take it all off for me in my "studio" which is really my grandmother's basement.

Son, here is a guide for you to meet women:

Hot chicks on Queen Street will be impressed with your Holga because they are all hipsters or hipster wannabes

Hot chicks by Dundas Square will be impressed with your D800 or 5DM3 because they think you are trying to video them in the midst of chaos

Hot chicks in Yorkville will be impressed with your Leica Hermes because they know the smell of money

Hot chicks on Bay Street will be impressed with your Hassy because it looks expensive

Hot college chicks will be impressed with anything "big and black" because it makes them feel good.

So I am sure Kurosawa knew exactly what camera to strap around his neck depending on the type of girl he wanted to meet. He is a smart man. Dude, how do you think he was able to make all those adult videos that now circulate around the world? Because of Kurosawa Japan is a leading exporter of artistic gymnastics performed by two adults on a bed.

For Kurosawa, surfing ebay and craiglist takes more of his time so he really does not have much time for 'Japanese gymnastics'. Plus, his libido is not as strong as it used to be, if it ever was, so his more of a mental fetishist than a virile biological male specimen... I guess that's also his best camouflage because gullible chicks don't feel intimidated by his virility, they think such a nice man - an artist - and yet they don't know that Kurosawa is a camera fondler...

Since Kurosawa spends so much time on ebay/craiglist/Kijiji, his also the annoying lowballer that we all hate... You see, because his not a serious buyer, he tries his luck by low-balling, hoping that someone in desperation will fall for his offer...

Love the fine print! And I read it and I think it taught me something, I'm still undecided, maybe I should have read it while not watching tv lol.

I looked at the pictures and read the headlines then said a curse word followed by "that" but thought hey, someone may get something out of it. I didn't learn something so much as received a reminder from looking at the pics, actually a reminder of two things. The first is jeans on the hip or lower are better and many images can only be considered great when contextualized. Perhaps I should give it a read so it's not completely an unread link slap.

Edit: read it. No further ahead. It's decent advice about being open to seeing that isn't street centric.

The only thing I got out of the article was Eric Kim has no idea about editorial writing. It can be all boiled down to his conclusion rewritten: Study famous photographers, you might learn something that you could apply to your own photography what ever type that may be. :)
