Hi all,

In the past people have indicated they would be interested in learning how to develop film at home. I'm going to put together a little workshop at my condo in the next month or so. I was thinking I would go through both B&W and colour (both C-41 (colour negative) and E-6 (colour slide)). My thought is that everyone would bring a roll of film ready to develop, and then after the lesson and demonstration, you could do your roll yourself. If you don't have something already shot, I could loan you a camera and you could run out and shoot off a roll or something.

I'll supply all of the materials (except for the roll you want to develop), and would charge about $30. I'm thinking it would be about 3 hours or so.

Who would be interested in something like this? If there is interest, I'll find a date that works and setup an event. There would likely be a limit to about 5 people max I think.

I'd be in for colour. Hopefully the date will work out.

C41 is easy as long as you have the chemicals, and something to control the temperature..... of which I lack. One day I will have a jobo tank.

My thought is that I would show how to do it without specialized equipment like a Jobo (other than daylight tanks).

How about August 27 or 28?

If there is enough demand, I could probably do both.

how about just after labour day? I am at the trailer during the last week of August. A weeknight is good... all of my weekends are taken from now until the end of October.

I'm in if the date/time works!

I'm not sure what I suck at..pic taking, developing, or scanning..probably a bit of all three.

Wow, filled up quickly!

I'll definitely have a second event. Would a weeknight work as well? I'm pretty flexible.

Maybe a weeknight too? Can't do weekends until November. Oh, and I can volunteer a vanue with a sink too just in case you don't want to do all of them at your condo.

I prefer to do it at my condo, so I don't have to lug my boxes of equipment around. Plus, I'm conveniently located near the subway and a highway exit, should people be arriving by it.

No problem... I have lots of sink and counter space available at work, and actually, I am going to bring in my stuff this week and do a bunch of B&W on my lunch hour, because I seem to never make time at home for it. I want to start doing medium format black and white too... but just waiting to finish off some colour rolls first.
