Toronto Photography Meetup Group

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone has taken photography classes from the Learn4Life offered by the Toronto District School Board? The one I had in mind is Photography: Seeing and Creating. I've done some reading and shooting on my own, but that's pretty much it. Any feedback about these classes would be appreciated. Thanks!

For any photography class it depends on the teacher, so although someone may have taken one class with TDSB, this one may or may not live up to the same level of quality.

I will add though the TDSB classes appear to be a bargain, considering many of the classes take place over several weeks, rather than being a one-evening lecture. I recently attended a workshop which was $200 for 4 hours!

I would consider taking the TDSB classes myself, but they conflict with my hours.

I'd like to see the samples of teacher's seeing etc, before I go there, although as far as I know TDSB is quite inexpensive, isn't it?

Yes, the classes are fairly inexpensive. There are 10 2-hour classes and it costs $126-$188. I do like the fact that the classes are spread out rather than having everything crammed in the same time. This will give me time to practice what' been taught and come back the following week with questions.
