Oh Sacred One, what stories you have to tell
trapped in this museum
never feeling the wind and rain
far from the forest and your people
I feel for you Oh Sacred One

Thanks for posting these interesting shots.
So these are taken with a Canon XSi body and Nikon & Zeiss lenses? Do you use a special mount adapter for these?

Oh, I enjoyed your web page. I have made it to the Golden Temple but wasn't sure if I would be allowed inside. ...so I didn't try. I was glad to see from your shots what it looks like inside.
Sadly I was not blessed with good weather or health in my few days in Amritsar.

Because Canon bodies are thinner than others you can use Nikon F, M42 Screwmount, Pentax K, Olympus Om, Leica R and Zeiss in Contax and Rollei mount lenses on Canon bodies.

I love these classic lenses, their all metal and smooth manual focusing combined with performance which is as good or better than L lenses and a fraction of the cost is a winning combo for my style of photography.

You just use lens adapter rings which are nothing more than spacer shims between the lens and body. Focusing manually and setting aperture manually like in the 1950's.

All Gurdwaras (Sikh places of worship) are open to all people of all religions or no religion at all times. Every Gurdwara around the world also offers free meals to all visitors any time they visit which is an integral part of our faith.

Never figured out how any place could be a house of God if certain people are not allowed to visit??

The langar I had. I just wasn't sure about whether I could enter the Hari Mandir. Plus the lineup was long.

Maybe next time!!
