i stopped reading at pentax... just kidding what the heck do they expect you do to with $2000 though? you can buy like.. one lens and a half decent body.

Ditto! What kind of system do you buy for $2000 to take with you to shoot stuff for Nat.Geo? Unless they expect you to have your camera gear already but still want you to showcase Pentax stuff? I'd just get a Pentax 645AF medium format with a 35mm lens and use it mostly for landscapes if that was the case. Not even sure that could be bought for $2000. even!

BUT the experience would be insane!
