Hello Olympians!

The holidays are practically over and it's time to talk shop about all of your lovely Olympus gear you got from Santa!!

I'll happily create the event, but I need some input from people first

I was thinking of Jan 14, 15 or 16 evening (6pm+). Which is better for you?

Also, I don't have the time to find a centrally-based meeting location, so I'm up for suggestions!!

Should be:

-Centrally located (ie not terribly far from Yonge/Bloor ie 6-8 subway stops in any direction)
-ON the subway line (or ridiculously close!! )
-Be able to seat 15??? in a group
-Anything else??

Referring to my "death" thread in Off Topic I was thinking of this today, and was even going to post a message.

But in my case I don't have my Janurary schedule at home.

I think any of those days except for Friday would be good...too many people go out Fridays!

I didn't get anything Oly or plan to...would like to get the 9-18mm, but these days most of my interest lies in still life, portrait, and lighting, and last night I just ordered one of Mary DuPrie's videos (she has a $1400 workshop four times a year for four photographers per session that those who attend rave about).

I'm pretty much maxed with what I need too - especially with my recent body upgrade I mean, I could easily spend money on more gear, but I don't NEED it! Just want it

Wednesday is out for me.

Thursday and Friday are both good for me.

I am chair of a community-police group and our annual town hall meeting with guest speaker Chief Bill Blair is on Wed the 14th so that's out for me.

Anywhere near a subway is OK... Rob's suggestion is good.

I second Rob's destination...ok, I like it because it's walking distance for me if the weather isn't bad, would take me longer if I hopped on the bus to get there!

I just remembered that I've got a dental appointment some time that week, but I don't have the date at home. It's at work and I won't be back there until Monday. Damn, I think that it's the 15th

Looks like Thurs is winning out!

I'll wait for another day or two and then make the invite. The suggestion Rob made is cool with me!!

If for some reason I forget to make the invite by late Sunday night and someone stops by to see that I haven't, PLEASE feel free to do it for me Just so people can plan!!

PS - Rob, chances are we'll be there later in the evening anyway, so stop by after your appt!!!

Maybe we should at least wait until Monday evening, after we hear from Rob, even though the numbers say Thursday.

Hehe...my problem is that I might forget to log in on Monday to make the event! So please feel free to make it if I haven't made after Rob's told us about his dentist appt

I was wrong about the date of my dentist appointment by a whole week, so I'm good for a week from Thursday too

I guess we'll make it Thursday then...don't have time to make an official notice right now, but if no one has done it by the time I get home tonight I'll do it.

And I assume pub near Davisville station is ok for all.
