Here's a big rumour:

Huge Price Drop on 5D MK II Coming this Week.

http://www.canonrumors.com/2012/09/big- ... op-coming/

Got mine earlier this year and has done over 7000 clicks.

I think price has already taken effect as of last week? Body is for $1799 CDN and the kit 24-105 for $2599.

Is $1799 a really good deal for a full-frame? I am thinking about making the jump to FF.

You can find the 5Dc for under $700 all day long. THAT'S a really good deal.

The question now is 5DII or 6D for a few hundred more. :)

I would get the 6D over the 5DII. I just need two more lenses to fill out my collection then I can look at new bodies again.

If you can wait until Christmas, the newer technology is probably better. I believe all the professional canons after the 5D has better focusing speed and accuracy.

Focus speed and accuracy has never been an issue for me for the type of shooting I do. I do like the better low light ability, better lcd (compared to my 5Dc) and wifi tethering sounds useful. Yes, the 6D is probably in my future.

6d would make a really great landscaping tool for me too. Could probably use it in my fountain for the frogs!

With all the delays in the Canon product line, you might not be able to get your hands on a 6D until spring.

Didn't it use to be $2500 just a couple of months ago?
