Interesting story on /. that is a few days old.

With the new push for resolution now is not the time to buy a monitor IMO unless you're looking for something specific and it's a great deal. Love or hate them, or both, Apple has poked a hole in the dam keeping resolution low and some good stuff is coming shortly. This is the first step toward that.

That sounds fantastic.
I had no idea about HDCP though, and that sounds frustrating beyond belief.
