My brother is finally taking the plunge into the digital camera world. He wants a simple point and shoot that takes good pictures. He asked me about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 which looks like a pretty new camera. Reviews look pretty good. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this camera or has heard anything about it.

Played around with this camera at the store for awhile now. The Panasonic ZS series is great. I would even go with the ZS8 or ZS10 if you don't need that much zoom.

My experience with the Panasonic FZ40 is that it is not upto standards in terms of metering and printing, so I wouldn't recommend point and shoot cameras. Almost any DSLR will do better than a point and shoot. I would go with something that would allow room to learn and grow.
