Nikon 18-300 Lens

I wish this lens was for full frame cameras ( like the 28-300) .....I expect this will push the 18-200 out and become the new all around lens for crop cameras.

If this lens is true then it will most likely cost over $1000 (given the 18-200 price) and will be crappy across most of its focal length!

Yeah, I don't think this lens can make a LOT of sense.
For what it is trying to offer, It's going to either be rather expensive, or rather poor.

the 18-200 was nothing to write home about either, but it did the job as an all-in-one lens for travel.

Exactly my point...going to retail around 1000$ and going to do the same job which the 18-200 doing now....

I bet it'll have massive amounts of distortion.. If it'll be more than $1000, why cant they just make a pro lineup of 2.8 lenses for DX users to equal the FX trinity? :cry:

17-55 2.8 is your equivalent.... after this you're in the territory and price range for the pro lenses anyway.....
