Apparently before he died, Steve Jobs indicated that he would like to re-invent three areas: TV, textbooks and photography.

We have heard that Apple TV sets are coming next year.

I wonder how Jobs has envisioned a change to photography, and whether Apple will realize his vision.

They will probably have us text in a description of what we see, and they will then create a computer generated image of that description.

I thought apple tv was already a failure? I like the quote about how jobs said tvs shouldnt be as complicatead as they are. Weird, ive seen 3 year olds pick up a remote and start using a tv. Pretty much anyone can use a tv these days, not sure why jobs thought we were too dumb to operate them he he

Textbooks? Um, like kindles? A little late for that

Photography, hopefully not more iphone cameras or dslrs with only one button and a scroll wheel that requires you to upload everything to itunes and the icloud before you can use them.

These things made it easier for Steve to collect the materials though, and control them all.
He didn't want things to be easier for us.
If they come out with a scroll wheel controlled DSLR, I will cry.
iPods are about the only technology that those stupid things work well with.

A smart company would interface a tv with both voice and body tracking like in Microsoft Kinetic or the PlayStation Move. That way you could use tablet like gestures and simple voice commands. A voice system like Dragon natural speech is a bitch when you have a cold or when you want to do more detailed selections.

I want the Samuel L. Jackson version :D

that would be awesome...

or Yoda version

How about a special edition Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry?

We could download different personas for our TV of course only at a cost from a certified apple app store.
