Has anyone tried these anti-fog cloths, like this one, before?
http://www.henrys.com/58621-LENSPEN-FOG ... CLOTH.aspx

When I leave my camera out to take long exposures of startrails on cooler nights the lens always fogs up from the condensation. I have to wipe it off every few minutes or the picture will be ruined.

These cloths are supposed to contain something the prevents, or at least minimizes, the fogging.

If you've tried these before it would be nice if you can give your opinion on it.

They actually leave trace amounts of chemicals on the lens so personally I might use it on a filter but I wouldn't use it directly on a lens. Do they work? Yes.

In that case, I'll put on my UV filter.

Thanks Metrix.

They work by coating the lens with a ultra thin chemical which makes the lens surface hydrophobic. It's highly unlikely you will notice any residue after all it wouldn't be a good product if it left a white powder residue would it? But it does affect how easy the lens surface can be cleaned.
