PC RULEZ!!!!

I think Mac's are terrible for photo processing...

I think PC's are terrible for photo processing...

I think you just blew some Mac/PC ppls minds... LOL

For anyone that doesn't know, GIMP is for linux... its Photoshop for linux based OSes

It works with windoze as well... not sure about macs because I have not checked

all I have to say is nowadays what's the difference? Let me explain. Ever since Mac has less and less its hand in the hardware of things (they buy them instead of having their own made) I can make a linux or a Win based system that will benchmark the same (and I wont even mention the difference in price it would be). So the real major difference is the OS. Now this is where its left up to taste. For myself I have used enough of all OS on the market. (from PC to being forced Mac down my thoat in school) Now for me its not very difficult to sit down at an iMac & know what to do, same with a Win system.

So in the end it comes down to this, so you want the brushed aluminium look or not. (I just don't want the stupid uber glossy screens, personally)

post processing can be painful... oh and I don't like photo editing either

2 weeks ago i was looking for a new laptop... apple vs. pc.. macbook pro vs. pc laptop.. went back and forth.. in the end, i went with an ASUS N73SV. why? coz i can't justify getting a MBP with the high price since i don't make money on photography yet. most of you do and when i do, i too will be getting MBP for processing/editing.

i don't believe one is better than the other.. it all boils down to personal preference and budget.

I think you have it wrong .... Mac is the Bloc ... speaks a different language, expected a larger majority, but got stomped on by the NDP's :)

I have both and my pictures come out looking WAY better on the PC. The colours, the print quality, the resolution. Everything is better.

I'm a PC user but have to say that Macs are pretty.. not that aesthetically pleasing things would be of interest to photographers would they? :wink:

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if they are going to be bringing out any upgrades of the Mac Mini in the next year? I am going to be buying one -- but I would hold off if there is going to be say, a quad core mac-mini coming out this year.

The reason why I am getting one is because of its size, and a specific project that I am going to be working on.

...until they get used...then their white cases get filthy, discoloured, scratched, even cracked.

None of my PCs (except for my early white P1 Compaqs, but even they don't) look as bad as my 13" MacBook 1.1.

Only Apple would put their bright white computer box into second cardboard box so the white box doesn't get all dirty. :roll:
