I can't find the service centre for Canon. I need a lens adjusted, the focusing is off. Zoom lens, so MA doesn't help much. No warranty. Anyone knows where I can adjust it? Thanks

Canon head office in Mississauga. Or you can go third party, but half the time they just ship it canon anyway. I have had lots of good experience with canon missisauga.

They get the job done right @ Sun Camera and don't charge you an arm and a leg. They do everything in house.

I had a 1Ds MKII that needed a focus adjustment. They claimed that the camera had been dropped, shutter box was broken, tripod mount was stripped. They quoted me.....over $9000 to fix. recommended replacement. I freaked out because my camera was in mint condition it had never been dropped. Complained to a manager, they reassessed the camera...same result.

I honestly thought they dropped my camera. I went to pick up my camera thinking they had dropped the camera while it was there. It looked like it was in the same condition it was in when I dropped it off.

I took the camera to Sun Camera. Around $200 they adjusted the focus. No other issues. Camera worked perfectly.

I have a couple of other similar stories from my own experience as well as friends who have used Canon service. I now take everything to Sun Camera. No issues what so ever.

Do you think I can get a quote from them for focus adjustment on a lens before I hit the road? A bit of a drive for me. Anyone have had their lens adjusted there? How much did you have to pay?

I heard from a camera salesman that Canon is expecting a delay of 3-6 months on all parts. I hope the Canon repair centers have a healthy surplus handy.

I'm sure they do. Not sure how much they charge for that since I do my own cleaning. Vistek I think charges $40. not sure how much Henry's charges.
