It's actually very easy through the "Super Control Panel"...see page 87 in the manual from the download link above.

Now it operates a little differently than other "E" cameras due to the different controls, so you'll have to follow the directions on that page.

I've actually found it a LOT easier to change settings on Olympus cameras than on ANY Canon camera I've used.

This new camera is completely different than my old Canon which I have used for 4 years and I guess I just need to keep shooting and figuring where all the features and settings are and start reading the manual like a book. Ok, I'm going to read that page 87 and get to the "super control panel" and start playing with manual mode and shooting away at lunch time :P

I don't really want to argue. I did a quick look on google images and I found exactly what you are looking for. Its right there on the bottom quadrant of the directional pad on the right.

Also, the button might not be working because you have it set to isoAUTO, I can see it on the bottom right hand of the LCD. You should change that.

The E-P series cameras' control panel even has a learning curve for Olympus users, as the Super Control Panel concentrates everything into the button pad instead of shortcut buttons. It's because of the reduced real estate on the smaller bodies.

BaRTiMuS, that's NOT a picture of an E-PL2, you actually posted a picture of the Sony A230 where someone has written "E-PL2" on it where the Sony logo would be. The filename of the image should have been a clue.

Sorry to say, but those of you who don't know the camera are confusing things.

THIS is the real back of the E-PL2:

And this is what the Super Control Panel looks like (over the Live View image:
Image

As you can see you can access the important shooting functions all on one "page", and I use it more than the dedicated buttons; I have multiple Olympus cameras that have dedicated buttons in different places, but the Super Control Panel (SCP) are all similar.

Basic instructions to use the SCP:

First with the E-PL2 you might have to enable the SCP function (instructions on Page 80).

Then to bring up the SCP press OK, use the arrow buttons to highlight the item you want to change, press OK again to enable that item, use the left/right arrows to change the amount, and press OK a final time. Press the shutter button to return to shooting mode/disable the SCP.

Sorry Mike, I guess I must have googled the wrong image. I found the right one and you are correct, the EPL-2 is different. The ISO button is right above the directional dial. Here is the correct Image. The credit should go to Mike for finding it, as he had it right from the beginning.

Actually, that is also an image that someone has modified, changing the "Info" button to a dedicated "ISO" button. You can tell because the button looks different than the others, and also the light not reflecting off the modified button.

Unfortunately some people like to make their own mock ups of what the camera should look like, so you get these "fake" images.

That "ISO" looks like it was done using a mouse in MS Paint.

Piglet

a useful button config. , well I find it usefull anyway.

Fn->AEL
Red REC button -> AF/MF toggle

this is on the e-pl1, but I am sure you can do it with the e-pl2 as well.

I agree. It's just that it's accessed differently on the E-P than it was on my E-500, E-510, E-3, E-30, and E-5. I'm a creature of habit and it takes getting used to ;)

Gosh, I just bought this camera yesterday and left my manual at work and was trying to do a quick test and couldn't find the button and I asked a question here and I got people coming in to mock me and calling me names through PM...I just don't get all these. If you don't want to answer you don't have to. I don't understand :?

Hi Sue, I'm sorry if I instigated this absurd thread. As I mentioned earlier, I get bored at work sometimes. The last thing I would want is for this forum to turn a user away, photography is for everyone to enjoy, and I'm sure that was one of the principles this forum was founded on.

Yes, photography is fun and it's for everyone to enjoy. I love going for a photo shoot but I really don't understand some of the behaviours here and it's beginning to make me think these behaviours are only targeted at certain people which includes me. It's really strange.

Darn, for a second there I thought Olympus had finally brought out a Micro-Four-Thirds camera with a built in VF. Back to waiting for the pro MFT camera.

I hope it's not like that Sony, because it looks really ugly!
