Hi All;

I picked one up a while back and got around to using it. I must say after a small adjustment period I found this to be great. I got it as a kit with a vanguard ball head (SBH-100) and it is quite solid.

I understand there are those on this forum who spend more on the ball head than I did on this kit. So this not for you. But for those who cannot justify that kind of money on the RRS stuff this is really something to look at.

The central column comes up and goes horizontal or any where you need it to go. The legs fold out so that it is flat. Very easy to deal with and very flexible.

Mine is aluminum and there are CF models too.

I think the legs are thicker and heavier on the Vanguard. The Vanguard has a larger load. And it is taller.

Similar idea though.

These tripods look great. I'm looking for something with more load capacity but without the price tag. I love shooting landscape but I don't use a tripod enough to warrant spending $500+ on a set.

Are these available in Toronto anywhere or only online?

Available at Aden Camera. There are heavier ones too.
