Hello,
I was using my Canon 18-200mm lens earlier and somehow it is stuck at the 24mm focal length. It works fine from 24mm to 200mm but I can't get to the 18-24mm focal length. Hence I can't lock the lens any more.

I am wondering has anyone encounter something like this and able to fix it on your own? Or anyone know any reliable and not expensive repair place? This lens just outside of Canon warranty :(

I don't know anything that happened like your situation but the closest thing I've heard was a user broke his Canon 17-55 2.8 IS by trying to take off the filter, instead he turned the barrel that snapped off the zoom barrel portion. He took it to Sun camera and they fixed and replaced the barrel part and re-calibrated I think around $250. I would call up Sun camera for your out of warranty lens.
