I'll start with "you get what you pay for". Since everything is automatic, expect poor dynamic range, no digital ICE (to get rid of dust and scratches)...it's like an inexpensive fixed focus 5mp digital camera.

if you have a dslr it's better to buy a slide copier for around the same price negatives don't really work because of colour cast.

The only slide copier i have is a minolta mount....and it mounts only on my olympus 4/3rds...which the crop factor doesn't work at all with the slide copier.....
