It sticks out about half way. There seems to be little plastic knobs that prevent it from going all the way in. Anyone else experience this? If it goes all the way in, will it stop my flash from popping up? Thanks!

I had a tough time getting mine on as well....They fit tight....I finally got up enough nerve to give it some force and it went on....that was on my 30D

I took it back to the store and they showed me how to just wiggle it and eventually it went in. I can see how people break them.
