Anyone know the cheapest place to buy CR2 batteries in store (not online). I need 2 and I'm not willing to spend $10+ each.
Thanks

I buy mine at dollar stores (for my Metz 34CS2 flash)...just make sure you get a common brand name battery. I usually spend about $4-$5 a battery.

Any particular dollar store? A chain, or independents?

Thanks for the help!

Thats why I love you guys...
$11 each from Henry's, $15 from The Source and Blacks, or a couple of bux from Dollarama. Obviously, not all batteries are created equal, but I just need something cheap for an old film body.

I use them in some of my flash triggers without problems.

I've had no issues with the dollar store CR2s...as I said I use them in a Metz flash so they get a lot of use and then sit around, get a lot of use and then sit around, so I can't exactly say how many flashes I get out of them.

I usually buy at the independents since that's the ones I shop at...used to have one at the corner of my block that I'd go to. I look for brands like Panasonic and Duracell; they may already be a few years old, but lithium batteries have a very long shelf life.

I bought a few cheapo rechargeable ones along with a charger. I have not been able to do a thorough test but they seem to be okay.

Watch out for rechargeable CR2s...they might have only 1/2-1/3 of the capacity of a normal lithium battery. For instance I bought a bunch "Juice" brand CR2s and CRV3s at Henry's Outlet Centre before I knew about this:

http://www.juicebattery.com/default.aspx?act=faq.aspx&category=&MenuGroup=Home&MenuItemID=105&MenuSubID=&#HowdoJuicetradeRechargeablePhotoLithiumbatteriescomparewiththeperformanceofnonrechargeablePhotoLithiumbatteries

IOW not enough "juice" for my Metz flash.

If people want to buy QTY of these batteries (Like 5-10 plus) let me know. My dad is one of the largest battery wholesalers in canada (watch battery) and gets these for cheaper, with top quality brands...
