Is Downtown Camera dip and dunk processing or machine. And I assume dip and dunk means manual processing, if not please educate me. TIW says they do D&D.

I just called Downtown - they still do E6 (looks like I was told otherwise by old Dan there) in house - it's via a machine, no "dip and dunk" - so, I guess, if you're shooting sheet film, then I don't think they can do the processing there.

Cheers,
Dave

dip and dunk is also machine processing, the difference between d&d and more common machine processing is that the film is not transported through the processing on rollers (which are likely to scratch negatives).. in dip and dunk processing the negative is attached to a hanger which d&d's the negs through successive tanks...

TIW is the only place I know for certain that offers d&d processing... however colourgenics may also offer d&d processing... elevator digital offers 'one shot' processing for B&W (single batch of chemicals are mixed for process - custom work - custom pricing)...

Actually I thought it might be smaller scale so there might be wider latitude in special requests for processing. Large format pinhole is in my future but for now 35mm and MF if I can find my misplaced Mamiya TLR.
