Hi all, just wanted to give kudo's to this place... located on Jefferson Ave in Liberty Village. I just had my 28-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor overhauled after suffering a hit at Upper Canada village a couple of weeks ago.

The reason why I took it to them in lieu of Nikon in Mississauga, was due to the fact that he did it for me in 1 week!!!! 1 week would be out of the question with Nikon's service dept unless I had NPS or knew somebody on the inside.

Anyhow, I have my lens back, and just in time for my big trip next week, and very happy with the lens! They even replaced the glass focus window on the top of the lens which had a crack in it (my fault).

I have used this place on two occasions and have been very happy with the service as well.

Was this under warranty or out of pocket? I was thinking of taking my 35 f/2 and the 28-70 f/2.8 to Nikon for focus adjust as they both seem to front focus wide open on my D200 (which I've been adjusting for in focus/recompose which sucks).

It definately was not covered by any warranty being that my lens is easily over 5 years old... and I am the second owner. I did a few tests yesterday with this lens, and all the problems I was having are resolved! I was having issues focusing with this lens at 70mm on infinty, it wouldn't focus lock with my D700 or D90.

Thanks, just called so I'll see about swinging by on the weekend for them to take a look. Hopefully it won't be too expensive.

Just got the quote to fix the front focus of my D200/28-70, came out to $180. That sounds a bit high, just curious what other people's experience would be with these types of fixes? Anyone?
